What does “ATA” actually mean?
ATA stands for Atmosphere Absolute, it's simply a way to measure pressure. Right now, wherever you're sitting, you're already under 1.0 ATA, that's normal sea-level air pressure pressing on your body every day.
When you step into a hyperbaric chamber, it seals and gently increases the air pressure around you above that normal 1.0 ATA baseline. Titan SMART™ operates at 1.35 ATA or 1.5 ATA, meaning the pressure inside is 35% or 50% higher than what you experience just standing outside. That added pressure is what helps your body absorb more oxygen into your bloodstream during a session.
